How do I add items to my inventory?
Tap the add button in the app to photograph an item. Our AI will help identify and categorize it. You can then assign it to a place, room, or shelf and add additional details like descriptions or tags.
How does family sharing work?
You can invite family or household members to share your inventory. Invited members can view, add, and manage items in shared places. Each member needs their own account. You can manage sharing permissions from the settings menu.
Is my data backed up?
Yes, when you sign in with an account, your data is automatically backed up to the cloud and can be synced across devices. You can also manage your backup settings from within the app.
How does lending tracking work?
When you lend an item to someone, you can mark it as "lent" in the app and record who borrowed it and when. The app will help you keep track of all lent items so you always know who has what.
What is the recycle/sell marketplace?
Items you no longer need can be moved to the marketplace where other users can discover them. It is a way to give items a second life, whether through selling, donating, or recycling.
How do I scan a product?
Open the app and point your camera at the barcode on any grocery product. The app will automatically recognize the barcode and show you price comparisons across Norwegian stores.
Where does the price data come from?
Price data is community-driven. Users contribute prices when they scan products in stores. The more people use the app, the more accurate and up-to-date the prices become.
Which stores are supported?
DyrMatInfo covers major Norwegian grocery chains. The available stores depend on community contributions in your area. We are continuously working to expand coverage.
Does the app work offline?
Basic scanning and previously loaded price data are available offline, making it useful when you are in a store with limited connectivity. New price lookups require an internet connection.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from the settings menu within the app. Alternatively, contact us at and we will process your account deletion within 30 days, in accordance with GDPR requirements.
How do I request a copy of my data?
Under GDPR, you have the right to request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. Email us at with the subject "Data Export Request" and we will provide your data within 30 days.
How is my data protected?
